Newton had a very disappointing 2016, and as a matter of fact, he was one of the least accurate quarterbacks in football. This season Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel should certainly help the team. The biggest question for Cam will undoubtedly be health, but if he can overcome that obstacle, he should be a top-five quarterback for fantasy purposes.
If Jared Goff can take a step forward, then Gurley will almost certainly be back to RB1 status this season. Sadly, he was consistent last year, but he only was a consistent RB2. However, that may be due to the fact that Case Keenum played way too many games. The Rams offense will not be stellar this year, but they should be good enough for Gurley to be a top-12 running back. Draft him accordingly.
Sadly, Carlos Hyde will be overrated this season. Despite his top-10 talent, Hyde will be fighting for touches with Tim Hightower, Kapri Bibbs, and Joe Williams. Even if Hyde emerges as the top dog, he still will have a hard time being a top-20 running back. There’s plenty of upside with Carlos Hyde, but make sure to draft him conservatively.
