He may be a 19 trophy-holding and four league title-holding soccer star of 20 years, but David Beckham sure knows how to bring out his kid side. He recently revealed that he really enjoys fidgeting around with the popular LEGO toy sets. While you may assume that he’d be into the more dude sets like Star Wars or Ninjago, his theme of choice when it comes to assembling those plastic bricks is actually Disney castles.

That’s right — the seasoned athlete of 42 years of age is a big kid who loves putting together a LEGO princess castle. He recently posted a picture of it to Instagram, and it’s melted the hearts of many across the internet. “Page 1 of the Disney castle, 4000 pieces 490 pages of instructions I look confused but I’m so excited,” he said.

That number is actually slightly inaccurate. There aren’t really 490 entire pages of instructions….there are 492! That’s some serious time being put into such an endeavor, but I suppose that’s the luxury you can take when you’re retired.

Seeing a seasoned athlete like Beckham having so much fun with Disney-themed kid toys really shouldn’t be all that shocking, especially considering that he and his wife Victoria took their four children to Disneyland back in 2015. Perhaps his apparent love for Disney got sparked during that time, or maybe he’s just being a really great dad and building it for his kids.
