The Dell Technologies Championship is New England’s premier PGA TOUR event, and it was held this past Labor Day weekend at TPC Boston in Norton, Massachusetts. Phil Mickelson, who is always a fan favorite, had a hilarious response to a young boy who gave him some advice on the course.

Philip Alfred Mickelson, nicknamed “Lefty,” pushed a drive into the left rough and then sized up his shot. While speculating, he introduced himself to a young fan who was standing nearby and asked him what he thought he should do. The boy, named Riley, said cleverly and without hesitation, “If I could hit my 3-wood 260, I would probably go for it.” A little kid, not even in his teens, speaking golf lingo with total charisma. The entire crowd around Riley laughed. Mickelson decided to go for it. He watched the ball soar into the air after his swing, paused, and then said to Riley, “Riley, you can caddy for me anytime.”
