Kansas City Chiefs – 9 Wins
Every year the Chiefs are underestimated, and every year, they shatter expectations. If we’ve learned anything from the past few seasons, it’s that we should never underestimate Andy Reid. The AFC West is a tough division, but Kansas City will definitely give the Raiders and Broncos a run for their money. The Chiefs should win at least ten games this season.
Patrick Mahomes appears to be a great successor to Alex Smith, but Smith should still stay ahead of him for this season. Even with their game managing quarterback, the team always seems to find a way to win. It would be no surprise at all if Alex Smith was not under center next year though.
New York Giants – 9 Wins
This projection for the Giants seems to be a little conservative, given their offseason acquisitions. The addition of Brandon Marshall should really give them a boost. Granted, Eli Manning is starting to get old, but he should still be solid for this season. Most importantly, the Giants have a nasty pass rush and a solid secondary.
The wide receiver corp now consists of Odell Beckham Jr., Brandon Marshall, and Sterling Shepard. If Manning can manage to put up a good season, this team will be very dangerous. We will likely see the Giants in the playoffs.
